Will Smart Meters make it easier for you to disconnect me?

No. Our regulator, Ofgem, has introduced tough rules for all energy suppliers, which state that disconnecting any customer's gas and/or electricity supply can only be used as a last resort when all other methods have failed. We'll do everything we can to avoid this situation, but it's really important to let us know as soon as possible if you're having difficulty paying your energy bills - our advisers are here to help you find the best solution to any payment difficulties.
