How long are my energy prices fixed for?

A Fixed Term Tariff means that you will always pay the unit price you signed up to, for the duration of the agreement, which can be between 12 months and 3 years. Each fixed term contract will have different lengths of term.

It is important to remember that while you will pay the same for each unit of gas and electricity you use throughout the length of your agreement, your bill may go up or down depending on how much energy you actually use. We conduct Direct Debit reviews at least once every 12 months as per Ofgem regulations.

For example, if you and your neighbour are both on the same tariff, and paying the same amount per unit of energy. If your neighbour then leaves the lights on all day, their bill will be higher than yours because they have used more energy, even though you are both paying the same for each energy unit.
