I am on a fixed term tariff, what happens if I stop paying by Direct Debit?

Paying by Direct Debit is the cheapest way to pay. It costs us less to serve you as a customer, so we pass those savings on to you. If you wish to pay your bill using any other method, you will lose this saving and, as a result, your standing charge will increase.

Some of our fixed term tariffs will exclusively require you to pay by Direct Debit. If you don’t pay by Direct Debit, we will change you to a more suitable tariff which allows you to pay by your preferred method. We will always give you notice if we intend to change your payment method so that you can reinstate your Direct Debit and pay off any outstanding amounts.
