Step 1 - Sign up online or by phoning

Step 2 - Receive your welcome letter

Within a few days of signing up to Co-operative Energy we will send you a welcome letter by email or post (depending on which method of communication you have requested). After your mandatory ‘cooling off’ period, we will get in touch with your existing supplier to tell them you're switching to us so you don’t need to inform them yourself

We agree a switchover date with your existing supplier, which is normally between four and six weeks from when you signed up.  

Step 3 - Provide a meter reading

Around the switchover date we will contact you for a meter reading. This reading enables you to calculate your energy consumption from the date we have taken over. You can provide us with your reading by calling one of our customer service advisors on 0800 954 0693 or 01926 516152.  You do not need to send this to your previous supplier, we will do this for you.

Step 4 - We collect your first payment

We collect your first Direct Debit payment soon after the switchover date and send you quarterly statements thereafter.
