QR codes Energy
management made easy
From June 30th, 2015, your energy bill will now display a QR code. The new energy QR code will help to make reviewing your energy costs and tariff easier, ensuring you are on the best price plan for you.
The QR codes will be used by switching sites and debt assistance charities etc. to assist customers in comparing their energy prices.
What is a QR code?
'QR' stands for quick response. A QR code is a barcode that can be read by a smartphone via a QR code reading app. When the code is scanned, the device will interpret the data held within the code and display the information for reader. The information will either be displayed in text or will direct the reader to a mobile-optimised webpage.
Why is there now a QR code on my energy bill?
From June 30th, 2015, we will display a QR code on all of our customer bills. The QR codes will help customers to easily compare their energy prices.
