Join us as we tidy up our communities

Posted on 22 May 2019

We believe there is a co-operative solution to help tackle the issue of single use plastics, based on the concept that small changes made by many members will have a big effect making a difference regionally and nationally.

With this in mind, the Midcounties Co-operative have created the ‘One Change’ campaign, encouraging colleagues, members. and our community partners to make just one change to tackle single use plastics. For World Environment Day, we’ll be out in force tidying up some of our community areas.

We’ll be donning our gloves and arming ourselves with litter pickers and rubbish bags to try and pick up as much plastic and rubbish as we can on the 5th of June 2019.

If you want to get involved, it’s easy! All you have to do is get yourself out there and pick up some litter. Take a photo of you and your haul of rubbish and share it with us on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook along with the hashtag #1Change.

Together we can help clean up our communities and stamp out single use plastics. Time to get involved an make your one change!
