What will you do with your Share of the Profits?

This month, Midcounties members will receive their 2014/2015 share of the profits. To find out how to make the most of your share, just read on!

How is my share calculated?

At our AGM in May, members approved this year’s share of the profits at a value of 0.9p per point. This means that for every point you’ve earned on your Energy spend, and other Midcounties products and services, you’ll receive 0.9p back.

How will I get my share of the profits?

If you have chosen to receive your Share of the Profits in the form of vouchers, they will be sent to you by post. As a Co-operative Energy customer, you can also opt for your share to be paid as a credit towards your energy bill.

Where and when can I use my vouchers?

You can use your vouchers to pay for goods and services in any of the outlets displaying the membership sticker. Some societies also allow Share of the Profits vouchers to be exchanged for cash (please call the membership team on 0800 435902 to find out which societies offer this option).

You will need to have your Midcounties membership card with you to use the vouchers.

Can I use my Share of the Profits to pay my energy bill?

Co-operative Energy will accept your Share of the Profit vouchers as full or part payment of your bill.

Can I donate my vouchers to charity?

You can also donate your Share of the Profits to charity, and may choose up to three of our supported charities. You can also choose to donate your share of the profits to our Community Fund, which distributes grants to local community projects and organisations.

How can I become a member?

As a member, not only will you will receive a yearly share of our profits, but you’ll also have a say in how our business is run.
