On Saturday 24th June we held our Community Energy Conference 2017 at the Renold Building, University of Manchester.
Like 2016, the Conference was the launch event for Community Energy Fortnight 2017, also sponsored by Co-op Energy.
This year’s conference – entitled ‘Powering Together - taking control of the energy revolution’ was once again jointly hosted with Community Energy England and explored:
- The role the local government can play
- How planning obstacles are overcome
- The change of crowd-sourcing of finance
- New options created through demand management and storage
These and other questions were explored at what has become the UK’s largest and most exciting annual gathering of community energy practitioners.
