The Community Energy Afternoon of Big Ideas!
On Monday 26th March we held the first of three Community Energy Conferences in 2018. We were proud to be partnering with Community Energy England and, for the first time, Pure Leapfrog.
There has never been a more pressing need for community energy to think out of the box if it’s to continue to grow. The afternoon of big ideas explored how this might happen. We'll explored the amazing progress of district-heat coops in Denmark (which are now progressing at a street-by-street level), explored the continued growth of Co-op Energy and the relaunch of our new Community Energy Strategy, and threw in an expert exploration of how finance can play its part in a post-subsidy world.
Due to high demand the event was sold out, which made for a wonderful day full of engaging conversation. Photographs and presentation from the day will be uploaded here after the event.
