Where does my renewable energy come from?
At Co-operative Energy, we ceased contracting energy that is generated from coal fired power stations from February 2016 and have set a target to obtain 75% of our energy from renewable sources by the end of 2018.
We’re proud to also offer our Green Pioneer tariff, which allows you to power your home with 100% green electricity. We’ll even let you have a say in what renewable sources we use, as well as where in the country we source the energy from.
We purchase your renewable energy from co-operative and community solar, wind and hydro plants all over the UK. Using our award-winning User Chooser service, customers have the opportunity to guide us with their preferred energy sources, providing customers with a voice and guiding our future purchasing direction..
We’re committed to creating a more sustainable world. While it can often feel like your green efforts are powerless, we believe that together we can make a real difference and create a better future for everyone. Every household that switches to renewable energy sources takes us one step closer to our goal, reducing our reliance on fossil fuels and decreasing the negative impact we’re having on the environment.
If you want to make the move to a more renewable energy supply, visit our Green Pioneer page for more information or get in touch to compare and switch.
