My online account won’t accept my meter reading
When you put a meter reading into your online account it will automatically check it against your previous readings, whether they’ve been estimated in the past or if you provided them to us. Because we know what your usage is likely to be, the online account will recognise immediately if the reading you have entered is much higher or lower than we would anticipate for your usage.
If your reading is far higher or lower than we would expect, you will not be able to submit a reading through the online account, this is to prevent an accidental reading going in and affecting your bill.
If this has happened to you, check your reading again and make sure there aren’t any mistakes. If you’re sure the reading is correct, you can enter your reading through our meter reading form or give us a call on 0800 954 0693 and we’ll put it right.
