The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) is a government scheme operated by larger energy suppliers to deliver energy efficiency improvements to domestic homes across the UK.
Those that qualify may be eligible for:
- Free or subsidised cavity wall insulation
- Free or subsidised loft insulation
- Free or subsidised energy efficient replacement boiler
These energy efficiencies are funded by energy suppliers with the aim to reduce the amount of energy that homes in Britain use and also to ease fuel poverty. Through the ECO scheme we are helping those that are eligible to reduce their energy usage and save money on their energy bills.
It’s also worth noting that this is a national Government initiative which means that you don’t actually have to be a Coop Energy customer to be eligible.
Grants are available from the UK government "ECO" scheme, funded by energy suppliers including Co-op Energy, for various heating and insulation improvements in homes. Grants are only available to residents on certain benefits or on a low income and vulnerable to the cold. Grants also depend on whether you own or rent your home. Co-op Energy takes no responsibility for the accuracy or completeness of the information provided on the MyEcoHome website.
