Co-operative Membership: What’s it all about?

Posted on 11 December 2014

Co-operative Energy – our name says it all; we supply gas and electricity and we’re a co-operative. Our aim is to work together with our communities to create a better and fairer world.

A co-operative is different, because we’re not dictated to by powerful figures or driven by greed. Built on values and ethics, we are fully owned by our members who have equal say in how we’re run. That’s why we’d like to invite you to become a member too.

As a Midcounties member you’ll:

  • Receive a Share of the Profits – Earn points for every pound you spend with The Midcounties – even on your energy bills. You’ll receive a share of the profits based on the points you accrue. Your vouchers can be used to as credit towards future energy bills, or towards other Midcounties products and service, such as a family holiday booked through Co-operative Travel, or shopping in your local Co-operative Food store.
  • Have your say - We are powered by our members, giving you a say in how we run things.  You’ll be entitled to vote on important issues such as investment back in the business, support to local communities, and how our profits are divided across members.
  • Have access to Midcounties Member Xtras – You’ll have access to an exclusive online portal, giving you member discounts and deals at UK high street and online retailers.

It costs just £1 to become a member, but we’ll take this from your first share of the profits. We can’t be fairer than that! So join today and help us to do business that’s fair.

Become a member today at https://www.midcounties.coop/join-us/ or Freephone the membership team on 0800 435 902 to join over the phone.
