Summer Saving Tips

Posted on 27 June 2016

Get the whole family saving energy this summer!

Keeping energy bills down might sound like a grown-up thing to do, but there are loads of ways for the kids to get involved too.

These tips are super easy, can help protect the planet – and best of all, you can buy new toys with all the money saved!

Play outside

With the summer sun in full blaze, the garden and the park look much more inviting, so why not get out there and play! It’ll save electricity in the long run.

Turn off the tap

Another little change with big results. According to, if we brush our teeth twice a day for two minutes while leaving the water running, we could be wasting over 24 litres of water a day. It’s literally money down the drain!

Switch it off

When your kids have watched enough TV or finished with their games console, remind them to turn it off properly. The £45 to £80 it could save in a year is enough for the latest football shirt!
